The Yanbu International School (YIS) Student Council is a student body comprised of students committed to the welfare of the school community. This student body is presided by an adviser. Along with that, the STUCO has been set up to have a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, PR, ‘Tech Guy’, and Class Representatives. Each class grade has one representative.
The STUCO is committed to provide students with the entertainment needs that they request. Of course, our capabilities are limited, however; we as a student body are trying our hardest to obligate ourselves to this purpose. In addition, we represent as a legal voice for the student population in the case where the students’ comments, concerns, and suggestions may be conveyed to the school administration. No, we do not have the power to allow rebellious rampage, nor do we have the authority to give students the permission to use cell phones in class. However, we can suggest. Our commitment is futile without the support of the students.
Along with this blog, we also have a Facebook group running for those who wish to communicate directly with the members of the STUCO. We look forward to hear what you have to say.
